What We Do

Special Olympics of Virginia provides year round sports training programs to adults and children (8 years and up) with intellectual disabilities. Area 13 is a division of the SOVA Northwest region serving athletes in the City of Winchester and counties of Frederick, Warren, and Clarke; giving our athletes continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Benefit Car Show & Fun Fest for Area 13 Special Olympics
Saturday, June 20, 2009   (Raindate, June 21)
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
at the Frederick County Fairgrounds, 167 Fairfrounds Rd., Clearbrook, VA (Route 11, North of Winchester, VA)
Registration: $15.00 the day of the show
Pre-registration:  $12.00, cut off date June 1.
Top 40 Trophies, Plus Best of Show and Athletes Choice
Dash plaques to the first 100 vehicles registered
Participant judging
